Are There Germs In Your Reusable Grocery Bags?

(STLMoms) – Reusable grocery bags are great for the environment, but they may not be that great for your health if you don’t clean them regularly.

Researchers tested cloth and plastic reusable bags and here’s what they found.  They discovered the same type of Bacteria inside these bags as you would find in dirty underwear!

And it doesn’t help that most of us store these bags in the trunk of our cars, a warm, dark place that’s a perfect breeding ground for bacteria.  But there is a simple solution. A cycle in the washing machine will get rid of those potentially harmful bacteria.
