Snoring Toddlers Prone To Health Issues
(CNN) – Snoring may be common… but there are times you should be concerned. If your child snores often and loudly, it might be an indication he or she could face other health problems.
Those problems include hyperactivity, inattention and even depression.
That’s according to new research by scientists at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center
The study found children who snored loudly at least twice a week at the ages of two and three had more behavioral problems than children who didn’t snore, or who snored at two or three but not at both ages.
The research also found breast-feeding, especially over longer periods of time, seemed to protect toddlers against persistent snoring.
The study is published in this week’s edition of “Pediatrics.”
